Report: Arrest Made In Stabbings Outside Pennsylvania Punk Concert
February 4, 2006The Citizens' Voice is reporting that police have arrested a man suspected of seriously injuring two men in a stabbing outside a punk concert in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania during a Jan. 7 brawl.
Both victims and several eye witnesses identified the suspect as Jason R. Honeywell, investigators said.
Honeywell, 20, was charged with four counts of aggravated assault and sent to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
The stabbings occurred on Livingston Lane, near the rear entrance to Cafe Metropolis, during an altercation involving more than 100 people following a punk music concert at the club.
Playing at Cafe Metropolis that night were THE IRATES, TERROR TOWN HIGH, RIVER SIDE RIOT and WEEZY'S HITLIST, according to PunkBands.com.
Police said, and eyewitnesses later confirmed to The Citizens' Voice, that the stabbings were the result of a dispute between rival skinhead groups.
According to a criminal complaint, a group of individuals at the club who claimed to be members of the Keystone State Skinheads, or KSS, "were picking fights and pushing and shoving other individuals inside ..." during the concert.
The witnesses who spoke to The Citizens' Voice were self-proclaimed "traditional" and non-racist skinheads. They said several members of KSS were causing trouble for the traditionalists who attended the concert.
